Durability and comfort were key priorities driving the design, from the dimensions of the timepiece to the materials used. 316L stainless steel, which forms the case and lugs, is valued for its resistance to shock, scratches, and rust, while the brushed finishing gives the metal a flowing, seamless aesthetic. Sapphire crystal is widely used in the watchmaking world for its exceptional durability and clarity and is here treated with an anti-reflective coating to ensure visibility from every angle. The top is cleverly domed to catch the light and infuse depth and dimension, inspired by retro acrylic designs of the past. Meanwhile, the exhibition-style caseback is covered entirely by sapphire crystal to showcase the gleaming details of the Seiko calibre NH35 within. The dial comprises two layers, with a smaller central arena stacked on top a larger stainless steel base to create a subtle sense of depth. Hour markers and hands are brushed in SuperLuminova for readability. Dials are available in Slate Grey, Black Onyx and Matisse Blue, each limited to 100 pieces, and genuine calf leather straps complete the urban look.
